Research and surveys by Gallup, Gartner, HBR, articles by Fortune, Forbes, Bloomberg and McKinsey partners even published a book to sound the alarm for the under-resourced, overworked and under-appreciated people managers. The more important key points identified the importance of the people manager as the front lines in developing talent, engagement and retention of top talent.

 

The battle cry consistently highlights the challenges managers face in light of return to office policies, downsizings in certain sectors, and being the primary resource to develop talent, when they themselves often do not have the tools and resources to develop their teams’ skills and careers.
